Amitabh Bachchan Lauds the Women Power After Jhulan Goswami Becomes First Women Cricketer to Pick 200 ODI Wickets

The Indian Women’s Team has made drastic strides in international cricket as far as their performance is concerned in the recent times.

Apart from getting very close to clinching their  2^nd ever World Cup title, India has also won most of the bilateral matches before or after the World Cup, and one name which stands out is the veteran pacer, Jhulan Goswami who became the first-ever women’s cricketer to pick up 200 ODI wickets.

Goswami has been a sensational performer for the Indian colts over a career spanning nearly two decades. She has been an inspiration for many young Indian girls who have eventually gone on to take cricket pretty seriously.

During the 2^nd Women’s ODI against South Africa during their tour in the Rainbow, Goswami became the first female bowler to appear in 200 or more limited-overs games for her country.

Her teammate, Shikha Pandey couldn’t resist her temptations and posted a picture with Goswami along with some of her teammates pointing towards the tall speedster who wrote her name in the history books. The name Goswami has been doing the rounds in women’s international cricket for a long time now.

Taking to her twitter handle, Goswami’s teammate Shikha Pandey wrote,

“Lucky to be sharing the dressing room with this legend! First to 200 wickets in Women’s ODIs!!@JhulanG10 #inspiration.”

We all are quite aware of the fact that arguably the greatest Bollywood actors of all time, Amitabh Bachchan is a big fan of cricket and especially women empowerment.

He has always supported women and has always lauded them when they have brought laurels for the country. Upon Goswami’s record-breaking achievement, the great man himself replying to Shikha Pandey’s tweet wrote,
