Brisbane Heat has pulled out of a proposed deal made to the allr0uder Marcus Stoinis, for the next edition of the lucrative Big Bash League (BBL). Previously, Heat had given a lucrative offer to Australian all-rounder Stoinis.

Meanwhile, Stoinis has represented Melbourne Stars since 2013.

Heat withdraws offer:

Heat’s statement means that Stonis will not add to Chris Lynn and Brendon McCullum’s explosive batting order.

Notably, Heat made an offer of almost Rs 10 crore to avail the service of Marcus Stoinis. The franchise had room in its salary cap which the Stars lacked.

We touched base with Marcus and put together what we felt was an attractive offer. However, that offer is no longer on the table,” Andrew McShea, Heat General Manager, told Cricket Australia digital.

However, Stars will breathe a sigh of relief with the news. Meanwhile, Stars not only finished at the bottom this year, they also lost Kevin Pietersen, Rob Quinney, and Luke Wright.

Stars are understood to resume negotiations with Stoinis upon his return from New Zealand. However, Perth Scorchers are also in line to offer a deal to Stoinis.
