Canadian President Plays Cricket with Indian Kids in Delhi Cricket Ground

Canadian President Justin Pierre James Trudeau was seen enjoying his time with some school students on a cricket ground in Delhi. Ex Indian skipper Mohammad Azharuddin and Kapil Dev were also present there. He is a politician and is serving as the 23rd and the current president of Canada. He is the 2nd youngest Canadian Prime Minister after Joe Clark. Trudeau is the eldest son of Pierre Trudeau.

In the video shared by ANI, Trudeau can be seen revolving the bat around his hands just like the way Virat Kohli does. However just as he approaches the crease he hands over the bat to someone else. The prime minister then stands beside the stumps and watches the young kids play. Meanwhile, the video also showed Mohammad Azharuddin coming in front of the camera person. The person called out by Azhar’s name and asked him to move from there.

Mohammad Azharuddin has been cleared by BCCI to contest HCA’s elections.

Meanwhile coming back to the Canadian Prime Minister, he was born in the capital city Ottawa. He attended College Jean-de-Breveuf and graduated from McGill University in 1994 and the University of British Columbia in 1998. He delivered a eulogy at his father’s state funeral. In the Federal elections of 2008, he was elected to represent the riding of Papineau in the House of Commons.

Now let us come back to the two former Indian skippers. When you recall the name of Kapil Dev then the 1983 World Cup victory remains at the top. He is arguably the greatest Indian cricketer till date and his prowess with both bat and the ball kept him in the elite league. Azharuddin who is now a Member of Parliament also served as the national skipper for several years.

He also led the team during the 1996 and the 1999 World Cups. However, his alleged involvement in spot-fixing during 1999-2000 forced him to move out of cricket. He was banned for life which was eventually lifted by the Supreme Court in 2012.
