Four Kashmiri boys reported as local cricketers were arrested on Sunday in Bandipora District of Jammu and Kashmir for lining up as a unit before Pakistan’s national anthem was played before the start of a cricket match.

In today’s generation of social media, it doesn’t take long before a video goes viral in no time what so ever. After the video went viral which showed the players conduct in the Arin Village before the start of a match, the local police arrested the alleged four.

Police are looking for the organizers of the match who is responsible for the shooting of the video. Only very recently in December, a video went viral which showed local cricketers wearing Pakistan jersey and saluting the nation’s national anthem before the start of a match in the Ganderbal District. The police had arrested a few boys there but were let off after assurances were given from their family.

It must be noted that arch-rivals India and Pakistan don’t share a strong bonding between them especially in political terms. It is due to the prevailing tension between the two countries that the Asian Giants doesn’t meet other in bilateral tournaments other than the ICC affiliated tournaments. The situation has never improved, and it doesn’t look like there would be any resumption of bilateral ties between the two teams shortly.
