South African speedster Dale Steyn, who has arguably been one of the greatest bowlers in the recent past was asked; who are the fast bowlers among the current crop that he loves watching nowadays.

A fan named Saurabh Malhotra taking to his twitter handle asked Steyn,

“Yes legend! The fast bowler that you enjoy watching the most from the current crop?” #AskSteyn

In reply, Steyn said it was an easy choice. One of the most fabulous modern day fast bowlers felt that Morne Morkel, Kagiso Rabada, Vernon Philander, Lungisani Ngidi and Ben Laughlin are the fast bowlers whom he loves watching.

The South African pace brigade has been relentless in the ongoing series against India so far, and it has been their pace brigade which has given the Proteas an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.

Youngsters Kagiso Rabada and Lungisani Ngidi have performed brilliantly in the series and Ngidi, in particular, was superb on his debut match at the SuperSport Park in Centurion.

Morne Morkel, on the other hand, has been a pillar for the South African bowling attack and along with Steyn, the bowling duo has dominated star-studded batting line-ups in their illustrious careers so far.

Rabada recently rose to the numero uno status for the Latest ICC Test Rankings for bowlers courtesy some sensational performances in the recent past. Ben Laughlin has been an impressive first-class bowler. However, he hasn’t been able to realise his potential in the international circuit.

Meanwhile coming back to Steyn, the speedster has again been ruled out of the series against India after sustaining an injury in the opening Test at the Newlands in Cape Town. India would look to salvage some pride in the final match at the New Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg and end the series on a high which will keep them in good stead ahead of the limited overs series.
