Danielle Wyatt Hails AB de Villiers for His Match Winning Knock Against Daredevils

It was a sensational effort from the Royal Challengers Bangalore as they defeated Delhi Daredevils quite comprehensively by 6 wickets with an over to spare. Mr 360 AB de Villiers smashed a breathtaking knock of 90 which came in just 39 deliveries. It contained 10 fours and 5 sixes which never really allowed Delhi to claw their way back into the game.

However, batting first Delhi Daredevils posted a decent total of 174 runs in their allotted 20 overs. It was largely built around a brilliant 85 of 48 deliveries by Rishabh Pant which was studded with 6 fours and 7 sixes. However, it wasn’t a winning score given they were playing at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. It is a batting paradise and it all came down to de Villiers to seal the deal for Bangalore.

There was a time when de Villiers smashed 4 consecutive boundaries of Shahbaz Nadeem. He was in a murderous mood and the Delhi bowlers were left searching for words. He treated his former Bangalore teammate Harshal Patel to some electrifying strokeplay as boundaries kept flowing from his blade.

Bangalore make a feast of the competitive target

Chasing a more than competitive total Bangalore didn’t begin well as they lost Manan Vohra in the 2nd over of the bowling of Glenn Maxwell. Quinton de Kock also fell early as a good throw from Vijay Shankar sent him back to the pavilion. The two best batsmen in the world joined hands to get Bangalore out of the tricky situation.

Both Kohli and De Villiers looked in complete command of proceedings. Kohli played himself in for a well constructed 30 which included a couple of fours and a six. However, a sensational catch in the boundary ropes by Trent Boult brought a premature end to Kohli’s innings. His partner AB de Villiers then took it upon himself to finish the deal for Bangalore and buoy he did it in style.

Wyatt hails de Villiers

Meanwhile English women cricketer Danielle Wyatt has congratulated de Villiers for a wonderful knock. It was indeed a special knock and the Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli said it at the post-match presentation. He lauded the batting sensation for his heroic knock. She wrote, “AB is just different gravy #NoFear BOSH.”
