Players, officials and fans appreciated the efforts made by PCB to bring back cricket to the country.

Until the final of the tournament, players from the major cricketing nations avoided travelling to the terror struck country.

However, since the final was hosted in Lahore players have not hesitated to travel to the country.

West Indian all-rounder, Sammy who lifted the title last year said that he is hopeful of lifting the trophy for the second time in a row.

Recalling the final Sammy said, “We got to see brilliant scenes at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, everyone was carrying the Zalmi flag. It’s time for me to return their love. We lifted the trophy in Lahore last year, we will lift it again in Karachi on March 25.”

The all-rounder said that he has always wanted international cricket to return to Pakistan. “Pakistanis love me, and I love them back. Dawid Malan, Marlon Samuels and Chris Jordan also came to Pakistan [last year]. Malan was then selected in the England team and scored a century in the Ashes.”
