In an unfortunate incident, unknown armed individuals have attacked the residence of Afghan cricketer, Hamid Hassan at the Jalalabad City of Afghanistan which is the provincial capital of the Nangarhar province.

The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) in a statement revealed the incident took place on Monday night after armed individuals hurled grenade on Hamid Hasad’s residence in the city.

The statement was given by the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) in a report said that in the attack, Hamid was left unhurt.

However, there has been some damage to his property. The Afghanistan Cricket Board ruled out any involvement of terror groups in the attack and stated the criminal gangs had earlier demanded money from Hassan’s family.

They had already warned the family of Hassan of attacks if they didn’t receive the money. ACB said the family of Hassan had earlier informed the security authorities surrounding the threats given to them.

As per ACB, the attack was carried out almost after a couple of weeks after the family from Hassan received threats from the criminal gangs.

The Cricket Board of Afghanistan condemned the attack and raided the major source of happiness of the Afghan people.
