Master Blaster, Sachin Tendulkar hailed the Indian U-19 team for their magnificent run in the World Cup.

India banked on a beautiful bowling performance followed by Manjot Kalra’s brilliant hundred to beat Australia by eight wickets. India was crowned champions for the record fourth time in New Zealand.

The young cricketers under the guidance of Rahul Dravid played a fearless brand of cricket throughout the tournament. They remained unbeaten throughout the World Cup as well.

Former India cricketer Sachin Tendulkar wished the boys after the victory and also praised the entire support staff for guiding the young guns towards the success.

Sachin lauded the whole team along with head coach Rahul Dravid and bowling coach Paras Mambhrey for doing a great job. The master blaster further wished them for a great future ahead, as he mentioned that this is just the beginning.

To all the youngsters, your beautiful journey has just begun and continue to give your best and enjoy the game above all. Good luck and have a wonderful career ahead,” Sachin said in the video posted on Twitter.

India performed largely as a unit, as many cricketers chipped in with useful contributions whenever needed. However, Shubman Gill was the found of the tournament for his exceptional batting skills. He was also adjudged the man of the series award for scoring runs consistently.

Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI) has already announced cash rewards for the whole team along with support staffs.
