Imad Wasim Flies to England for Knee Treatment

Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim is traveling to England – to get his knee operated. The slow left-arm orthodox spinner has had developed issues in the recent past. Wasim’s problems with his knee had subsequently resurfaced in the recent time.

Meanwhile, married by injuries Wasim is also out of sorts from the Pakistan team. The Pakistan all-rounder had also suffered a head injury during the recently concluded Pakistan Super League (PSL).

The spinner also represented Karachi Kings as a skipper in the third edition of PSL.

Wasim was injured when he got the wicket of Sohail Khan in Pakistan T20 league. He was able to complete a stunning catch but eventually fell on his head in the process of taking the catch.

However, management carried Wasim off the ground with the help of a stretcher.

Fortunately, it Kings later confirmed that Swansea-born cricketer was doing quite well. But Wasim found himself ruled out of the entire tournament due to the blow to his head.

As per the latest reports, Wasim has now flown to his birthplace England to undergo a surgery. Imad would be under the watchful eyes of specialist doctors in the United Kingdom (UK).

Pakistan is all set to tour England for two-Test match series. After the completion of England tour, Pakistan will play Twenty20 International series against Scotland.

Meanwhile, Wasim has thus far played 30 One-day Internationals for the Pakistan national team. The promising professional has scored 430 runs while he has scalped 28 wickets in the 50-over format.  In the 25 T20I matches, the spinner has taken 27 wickets.

Imad Wasim was also at the top of the T20I bowler rankings at one stage.

Wasim, who’s seen as a bright prospect, will hope that he recovers in time from his injuries and make the cut back into the Pakistan national team, as soon as possible.
