A few days after Ravindra Jadeja expressed his frustration on Twitter after an individual called him by a wrong name, another Indian player has faced the same situation and this time around the mistake was committed not by any fan but by one of the sponsors of the recently-concluded series between India and Sri Lanka.

Left-arm seamer Jaydev Unadkat was the latest player to have his name wrongly taken, as Paytm’s official Twitter handle called him KL Rahul while posting a picture of the left-arm seamer.

Unadkat, who was making a comeback in the national team after a lengthy absence, proved his worth, as he not only bagged the Man of the Match award in the last T20I on Sunday (December 24) but also got the Man of the series award for his economical bowling throughout the series.

But it seems like his performance was not enough to make one and all notice him, as Paytm wrongly took his name while congratulating him. What is even more surprising that it went on to state that the player got the award for his consistent batting throughout the series.

Here is a picture of the tweet as the e-payment company was quick to realise its mistake and delete the tweet.

Meanwhile, Unadkat said his performance in the series had instilled the much-needed confidence in him which was required at the highest stage of the game.

“This series has really helped me to gain that confidence needed at the international level, in the past as well whenever I have done well in domestic I have got my chances. So it was just about doing well out there and getting that confidence. It was just not coming to me when I played for India the previous time. But yes, this series has definitely been a turnaround for me, and I really needed (it) at this point in my career, and I would be really happy to take it forward from here,” said Unadkat at the post-match conference.
