India won the first three matches, whereas Australia managed a win in Bengaluru to open their account in the series.

Here’s India’s Predicted XI for the series finale:

1. Ajinkya Rahane

Ajinkya Rahane has been the go-to man for India whenever their first-choice opener is not available, he has scored consistently in this series but has failed to register a big one, after getting good starts. Rahane will look to take this opportunity to remind selectors what he is capable of.

2. KL Rahul

Lokesh Rahul is waiting for his chance in the Indian setup in the top-order. He was tried in the Sri Lanka tour in the middle but he failed to tackle spinners early on in his innings. He may get a game in the final match against Australia in the last ODI in place of Rohit Sharma who could be rested.

3. Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli is due for a big one, as he only managed to score a 92 in the last four games. He will be looking to finish the ODI series with a big hundred.

4. MS Dhoni

The former India skipper is still the best wicket-keeper batsman in the world. He is in the central scheme of things for the next World Cup.

5. Kedar Jadhav

Kedar Jadhav is the player the team management is looking on as a future prospect at number four and five. He can be good with the ball in the middle overs as well. He will look to cement his place in the last ODI.

6. Manish Pandey

Manish Pandey is the future star of Indian cricket he has shown glimpses of what he can do but is lacking consistency, this can be the last chance for Manish Pandey.

7. Hardik Pandya

8. Axar Patel

An injury kept the all-rounder out of the first three games and he did play the last match but failed to make any impact either with the bat or with the ball. He will get another chance before Ravindra Jadeja takes his place.

9. Kuldeep Yadav

Chahal has picked up big wickets and has put a stop to the scoring in the middle overs, he may get a rest for this game and Kuldeep Yadav may take his place, who has been as good as anyone in this series.

10. Umesh Yadav

Umesh Yadav came back after a long-time and picked up four wickets out of five that fell. He will look to continue his form in the fifth ODI as well.

11. Mohammed Shami

Mohammed Shami will look to better his numbers and get a wicket up his sleeve, as he was expensive and failed to get any wickets under his belt.
