India vs Australia 2017: Kuldeep Yadav Speaks on Replacing Ashwin and Jadeja

Virat Kohli has strengthened his armory of bowling, as the India captain has found two new spin-twins in Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav. The duo of wrist spinners has spun their web on Australian team and have taken down the World Champions single-handedly.

After getting his maiden man of the match award in a T2oI after picking up two wickets for just 16 runs, Kuldeep was picked to handle the press conference on the eve of the second match in Guwahati.

The young left-arm spin bowler was asked that have they (Chahal and Yadav) replaced Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja from the limited overs team? The youngster was quick to answer this and said that they’re not experienced enough to replace them.

“Replace karne ka chance hi nahi hota hai (There’s no question of replacing them). We are still very young. We still have more cricket to play, so that thought hasn’t crossed our mind. Ash and Jaddu bhai have been consistent performers for India in all the formats.” said Yadav.

It is said very often since these two youngsters have come into the frame, that they hunt as a pair. Talking on this, the china-man said he likes bowling in tandem with Chahal.

“We have a very good partnership going on. We have been playing since last five years. It’s easy to understand each other’s plans. It helps on the ground as we talk each other about the wicket and the conditions. There’s a good understanding between us. We bowl in pairs in a match, the difference is evident,” Kuldeep said.

India are 1-0 up in the three-match series and will look to seal the series on Tuesday in Guwahati and continue their dominance over the visitors who have just managed to win one match out six that they’ve played on this tour.
