Instagram Awards: Virat Kohli-the Most Engaged While Deepika Padukone-the Most Followed

There was a famous Indian Instagram Awards held for the first time. The results of the awards were quite astonishing. It will bring a smile or two if you are social media follower and a fan of these cricketers and Bollywood actors. The most followed Account went to Deepika Padukone, the famous Bollywood actress while the Most Engaged Account on Instagram went to Team India skipper Virat Kohli. He has been in the form of his life across all three formats of the game.

The Indian skipper has a total of 19.8 million followers on Instagram. His account generated the most number of engagements when all likes and comments from the comment which he shared in 2017. It excluded the story views and the video views. The list also acknowledges the most engaging community members in Instagram. It also recognises Emerging Account and 20 million milestones. ‘

Coming back to the most followed category, Bollywood beauty Priyanka Chopra was behind another beauty Deepika. While Deepika has 22.4 million followers, Priyanka has only 22. Alia Bhatt is 3rd in the list with 20.8 million followers.

“Staying connected with my fans and loved ones is extremely important to me. I value the love, support and connection I share with them and I hope I continue to remain true and authentic,” Deepika said in a statement.

Meanwhile, actor Ishaan Khatter who will be seen in “Dhadak” has been named in the Indian Emerging account category for his growing fan base on Instagram especially in the year 2017.

“It’s a non-stop source for inspiration from people and personalities all over the world. I find it especially enjoyable because it’s about connecting through pictures and videos. On a more personal note, it’s almost like a time machine for your memories and a way to immortalise your favourite moments.

“It’s lovely connecting with others through this medium and I look forward to being inspired and hopefully inspiring more people in the future, too,” he said.
