Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) owner Preity Zinta and star cricketer Aaron Finch were in all smiles, as they beat Delhi Daredevils (DD) by four runs in a low-scoring encounter.

As a result, Punjab jumps to the top of the points table with three wins in a trot.

Batting first, Punjab posted 143 runs on the board in their quota of 20 overs. KL Rahul missed his opening partner Chris Gayle, as the right-hander fell cheaply. However, some useful contribution in the middle-order ensured Punjab inch towards the 150-run mark.

Liam Plunkett was stunning for Delhi in his debut match, as he returned with three for 17 in his four overs.

Meanwhile, in return, Delhi once again suffered due to a poor start. Although Shreyash Iyer pulled things back with a well made fifty, fell short of four runs.

Rahul Tewatia also tried his best in the dying moments, but Mujeeb Ur Rahman kept his nerves to seal a game for the visitors. As a result, Punjab replaced Chennai Super Kings at the top of the table with five wins from six games.

Following the victory, the Punjab cricketers enjoyed among themselves along with their team owner. During that, Finch took a selfie with Zinta and posted it on Instagram.

Amazing win @kxipofficial!!! @realpz is a very happy boss,” Finch wrote along with the picture.

Meanwhile, Finch didn’t have a good start to this tournament. He got out on duck in the first two games and had scored just 16 runs from five games.

Although Punjab is going great banking in the form of KL Rahul and Chris Gayle, Finch needs to come good, if he wants to retain his spot in the team.
