For the second running year, Krishnappa Gowtham bagged a huge amount on the auction day and this year, he was bought by Rajasthan Royals for an amount of Rs 6.20 Crore. Gowtham is an all-rounder from Karnataka who was bought by Mumbai Indians for a huge amount of Rs 2 Crore by Mumbai Indians last year.

He didn’t get a game and warmed the bench whole season.

However, his domestic exploits were enough to help him make a place in the India A team for the unofficial Test series against New Zealand A. Though, he was withdrawn by BCCI for violating the rules as he pulled out of Duleep Trophy uninformed and went on to play KPL.

Though Gowtham gave a reason for that and BCCI did not take any action against him.

There are bright chances of him getting a game this season and if he does well, an international call-up may not also be away from him.
