IPL 2018: Ravichandran Ashwin sold to KXIP for 7.6 crore

India off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, who was the second player to go under the hammer at the ongoing auction, has been bought by Kings XI Punjab for a whopping amount of Rs 7.6 crore . Ravichandran Ashwin was one of the 16 marquee players who have a base price of Rs 2 crore.

After being bought by Chennai Super Kings in 2009, the 30-year old had plied his trade for the franchise since 2015 before being signed by Rising Pune Supergiant when the Chennai-based franchise was suspended along with Rajasthan Royals for corruption charges. Prior to the suspension, Ashwin was an integral part of the team, picking up 100 wickets 111 IPL games to help the side win two IPL trophies in addition to making it to the final on four different occasions.
