IPL 2018: Rohit Sharma Faces Arjun Tendulkar in Nets Before His Match-Winning 94

The reigning champions Mumbai Indians’ (MI) skipper Rohit Sharma faced Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun Tendulkar in the practice session. He then went on to smash quickfire 94 against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the iconic Wankhede on April 17 (Tuesday).

The right-handed batsman Rohit also faced former Indian all-rounder and current mentor Robin Singh in the nets.

The Mumbai’s leader Rohit came to the crease when the hosts had their backs against the wall. Umesh Yadav had given early blows to the defending champions in the very first over and a partnership was the need of the hour for the Mumbai side.

Rohit was able to get Mumbai out of troubled waters as he stitched an alliance of 108-runs with Windies aggressive batsman Evin Lewis, for the third-wicket.

Rohit smashed 10 boundaries and four maximums in his valiant knock of 94 runs which came off just 52 balls.

The flamboyant batter Rohit also bagged the Man of the Match for his spectacular knock. It was an imperative win for the defending champions as they had lost their opening three matches of the season.

Meanwhile, Sachin Tendulkar was also seen giving some inputs to his son Arjun, before he was bowling to Rohit Sharma.

Arjun is trying to follow the same path as his father and it is well known that the youngster can clock around 135 kph.

Rohit Sharma played a captain’s knock and pushed himself down in the batting order. He has been instrumental in the success of the blue brigade. Furthermore, it is pivotal that he hits the ground running in the ongoing season.

Indians are delighted to get their maiden win of the season and would now like to carry on the impetus. They will now lock horns with Rajasthan Royals at latter’s homebase on April 22.

However, Hindustan Times, the newspaper journalist posted a video on his Twitter account.

It eventually came to the fore when noticed Arjun Tendulkar is helping Rohit Sharma in his preparation.
