“I obviously wasn’t under pressure, to be honest. Because leading through the IPL, I led few teams back home. Obviously, the feeling was really amazing, leading the Delhi Daredevils for the first time in between the tournament”.

Iyer added,

“You guys gave a good start, and that made it really easy for the batsmen to come. This is the way I play; I give myself a bit of time because I know I can capitalize on the bowlers in the later stage. I back myself and I know I can take the spinners on and when the spinners came, I took them on.

It was a dominating display of performance from the Delhi Daredevils, as they were able to get the better off Kolkata Knight Riders by mammoth 55 runs. The last match win must have instilled a lot of much-needed confidence in the Delhi camp.
