Nagarkoti is spearheading India’s pace attack in the ongoing Junior World Cup. He has taken seven wickets in four World Cup games till now.

Nagarkoti, in six List A games, has taken nine wickets and has also taken a hat-trick. He is yet to make his first-class debut.

Interestingly, Nagarkoti was able to draw humongous amount riding on just his U19 World Cup exploits as the India U19 players were not allowed to appear for IPL trials, a report in ESPNcricinfo suggests. The report also adds that few of the players had gone to attend the trials but were called back later.

Meanwhile, India U19 will face Pakistan U19 in the semi-final of the contest on January 30.

Nagarkoti was the third India U19 to be sold on the day after Shubman Gill and Prithvi Shaw.
