IPL 2018: Bhuvneshwar Kumar is Helping Us All the Time, Says Siddarth Kaul

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), on Sunday (April 29), further enhanced their reputation as the best bowling lineup in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). For the third game in a row, they comfortably defended another modest total to rise to the top of the points table, as Siddarth Kaul has once again risen to the occasion.

The Kane Williamson-led side defeated Rajasthan Royals by 11 runs as their bowlers once again came to the party.

Well, what is even more impressive is that the bowlers are putting up the impressive performances without their pace spearhead Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who is sidelined with a side strain.

Bhuvneshwar missed last three games but it did not affect his team much. However, the Indian bowling star is playing his part off the field too.

Speaking after the win, Siddarth Kaul said that Bhuvneshwar always helps his teammates.

“Bhuvneshwar is helping us all the time, when he is playing with the team and in the nets. It is a big advantage when a player having international exposure gives us tips in a particular situation. When he offers us advice, it helps us immensely for players who have started their career,” Kaul said.

In Bhuvneshwar’s absence, Sandeep Sharma and Kaul stepped up.

Sandeep, spearheading the attack in Bhuvneshwar’s absence, tied down the batsmen, giving away just 15 runs in four overs.

Siddarth also bowled well, conceding just 23 off his four overs in addition to picking up two wickets.

Chasing a modest 152, Royal were eventually restricted to 140 for 6.

Kaul further said that good preparation is the key behind his team’s fine performance during low-scoring games.

In the last three games, the Sunrisers have defended 118, 132 and 151.

“Any over that is given to the bowlers, be it the first or the last over, they are doing their homework quite well. Everyone knows their role and when to bowl. They are clicking at the right time and it is a question of executing the skills at the right time,” Kaul said.

Sunrisers Hyderabad’s next game will be against the Delhi Daredevils on May 5, as Siddarth Kaul is eyeing to give his best in the bowling department.
