Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will host Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the 29th Match of the IPL 2018. Virat Kohli led team has won two matches out of the six thus far. Thereby, they are languishing at the bottom half of the points table.

It is the bowling unit that has been the Achilles Heel of the Men in Red. Their bowlers haven’t been able to deliver the goods and their performance has been mundane especially in the death overs.

Virat Kohli should try to strengthen his bowling battery. The RCB skipper should play Tim Southee in the final XI who has been warming the benches so far.

Bangalore team’s batting has once again looked over-reliant on the shoulders of their captain and AB de Villiers. The top order has failed to fire on all cylinders.

On the other hand, Knight Riders have won three matches out of the seven. Thus, Dinesh Karthik led side would be desperate to get a win under their belt.

Both the teams are coming into the match after a loss in their last match and would like to savor a win.

Here is a look at the Predicted Playing XI of the Royal Challengers Bangalore:

Parthiv Patel hasn’t yet made his debut for RCB in this season. The southpaw and the opening batsman has proven himself at the top of the order while playing for Mumbai Indians (MI) in the previous editions.

Virat Kohli has been consistent once again with the bat. The RCB skipper would like to sort out his bowling hiccups. Kohli has scored 249 runs thus far in the season.

AB de Villiers:

AB de Villiers is once again churning out his piece de resistance. The Proteas talisman batsman has scored 280 runs in the six matches.

It is amazing to note how quickly de Villiers can hit the ground running in his innings.

Mandeep Singh:

Mandeep Singh has been the underrated batsman of the RCB.

The right-handed batsman is providing finishing touches to RCB innings like a sculptor would do to his work.

Colin de Grandhomme hasn’t yet arrived at the big stage. The New Zealand all-rounder power-hitting capabilities are well known.

The right-hander can also chip in a couple of overs.

Washington Sundar:

Washington Sundar hasn’t yet delivered the goods with the ball. The youngster is well known to keep a tight grip on the proceedings but the spinner has let the opposition off the hook.

Umesh Yadav:

Umesh Yadav has bowled with pace as well as accuracy in this season.

The fast bowler has always had speed under his belt and it is good to note that he has added control in his armory.

Mohammed Siraj:

Mohammed Siraj has impressed with his wide yorkers in the last match. But still, the young fast bowler from Hyderabad went for 48 runs in his four overs.

Yuzvendra Chahal:

Yuzvendra Chahal was at his best in the last match.

The leg-spinner scalped two wickets and conceded only 26 runs in his quota of four overs.

Tim Southee:

It has been a surprise to note Tim Southee been benched despite RCB bowling vulnerabilities getting manifold with every match.

The New Zealander pacer is known to swing the ball at brisk pace. Thus, he could be the answer to the difficult questions that Royal Challengers Bangalore camp is facing in the bowling line-up.
