The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) line-up was literally shot down by the Chennai Super Kings (RCB) as Virat Kohli’s men could only manage to score 127 for nine at the end of their 20 overs. However, Ravindra Jadeja was at his best under the sun, picking three crucial wickets, including the one of opposition skipper Virat Kohli.

Jadeja disturbed Kohli’s timber but didn’t celebrate at all. He then went on to scalp the wickets of Mandeep Singh and well-settled Parthiv Patel.

Jadeja finished his four overs with figures of three for 18. The all-rounder was found struggling with the ball in this edition of the Twenty20 league but this particular performance will give him a lot of heart.

At the mid-innings break, Jadeja revealed the reason behind not celebrating Kohli’s wicket and how the pitch turned out.

The left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja credited Harbhajan Singh for picking the big wicket of AB de Villiers. Harbhajan scalped two wickets and conceded just 22 runs.

“Very happy, the wicket was a bit dry and I was just enjoying my bowling. Actually, it was my first ball, and I was not ready to celebrate. Virat’s wicket a huge wicket, and I just wanted to keep up the momentum. Bowling with Harbhajan helped, he was also helping in right areas. We bowled as a pair and that was what we required. We don’t need to worry about the batting too much.” he said.

It was a crucial game for the Bangalore unit, as they required a win owing to the majority of their remaining encounters to seal a playoff berth.

On the other hand, Chennai side is well placed in the top-half of the points table and they just couldn’t keep things simple this time around and win the big moments.

Well, in the remainder of the games, RCB would like to make an impression and add the points which indeed is going to be a huge task.
