IPL 2018: Pakistan Fans Troll Zainab Abbas for Praising Mahendra Singh Dhoni

A senior sports anchor cum journalist from Pakistan, Zainab Abbas was in awe of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who played an elegant knock against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) last night, as Chennai Super Kings (CSK) thrashed hosts by five wickets in a last-over thriller at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

However, this didn’t go well with the Pakistan supporters as they brutally trolled Zainab for praising Dhoni.

Meanwhile, vintage Dhoni was on offer as he smashed the balls to cruise Chennai to yet another victory to maintain their dominance in the ongoing edition of Indian Premier League (IPL).

Batting first, the home team posted a massive total of 205 on the board while banking AB de Villiers (68) and Quinton de Kock (53).

The South African pair added 103 runs as it set the platform for a huge total.

However, it was a late cameo from Mandeep Singh that ensured Bangalore cross the 200-run mark. The Chennai bowlers came back strongly in the latter half of the game – to restrict RCB.

In reply, Chennai didn’t have a brilliant start as they lost Shane Watson in the first innings. However, Ambati Rayadu ensured that they are well on par with the asking rate.

The right-handed batsman Rayadu (82) has been in outstanding touch and proved it once again during the southern derby.

But it was Dhoni show which turned things off for the visitors with a magical knock.

The Jharkhand-lad came to the crease as Chennai was reeling at 74 for four from 9 overs. Although he started a bit slow but soon picked up the gears.

Meanwhile, Dhoni left nothing which was in his arch and ensured that they match up with the asking rate.

Apart from a dropped chance, Dhoni was absolutely stunning as no total looked safe in front of him.

Further, he remained unbeaten on 70 runs from 34 deliveries with seven sixes and a four, as CSK cruised to another victory.

Zainab lauded Dhoni for his knock:

The journalist took to social media site Twitter to praise the former Indian skipper.

She wrote that Mahendra Singh Dhoni is proving every day why he is the best finisher in the world.

However, this didn’t go well with the cricket lover from Pakistan and they trolled her for supporting an Indian. Meanwhile, their statements had no logic and it seems like they trolled just for the sake of it.
