Mustafizur and Mahmudullah to Begin Their PSL Stints Today

The Pakistan Super League kicked off yesterday. It was debutant Multan Sultans who defeated Peshawar Zalmi in the opening match of the tournament. Tamim Iqbal who was part of the Zalmi squad failed to put on a substantial contribution. Meanwhile, two Bangladeshi players Mahmudullah and Mustafizur Rahman have separate fixtures today.

Sabbir Rahman who was part of the Multan Sultans squad wasn’t part of the playing XI. It was a brilliant knock from Kumar Sangakkara and skipper Shoaib Malik which eventually sealed the deal for Multan. Quetta Gladiators who finished as the runners-up in the previous edition of the tournament will take on Karachi Kings in the 2nd match of the tournament in Dubai.

However, there is doubt over the fact that whether Mahmudullah will be part of the Playing XI or not. Meanwhile, the Gladiators have some big names in the form of Shane Watson, Kevin Pietersen, and Jofra Archer.

The match is slated to begin at 3:30 pm local time which is 5:30 Bangladesh Standard time. Meanwhile, it must be noted that the Gladiators have never lost to the Karachi Kings in PSL so far. They have won all four matches against their oppositions.

Mustafizur Rahman is a part of the star-studded Lahore Qalandars squad. The 2nd game of the day will begin at 8:00 pm. Brendon McCullum will be leading the Qalandars. Despite Chris Lynn being ruled out, there are star performers like Sunil Narine, Mitchell McClenaghan and the cutter-specialist himself.

These are only the four Bangladeshi players who are taking part in the ongoing PSL. They have been given no objection certificate till March 4. The players need to join the Bangladesh camp in Sri Lanka as they prepare for the Nidahas Trophy. Peshawar Zalmi bagged Shakib-Al Hasan but a finger injury ruled him out of the tournament and was replaced by Sabbir.
