Peter Siddle made good use of his experience and scalped three vitals wickets for the Strikers. Rashid Khan, who was instrumental in getting his side to the finals expressed his happiness away from all the happenings.

Rashid left his BBL side to join his national team for the upcoming series against Zimbabwe. The 19-year old is the highest wicket-taker in the tournament with 18 sticks from 11 innings, under an economy that read 5.65.

Rashid tagged some of his teammates and tweeted out his joy. He mentioned he is immensely proud of the way Strikers got the job done. The spin sensation was roped in by Sunrisers Hyderabad once again during the IPL auction. Rashid had a great working relationship with the Strikers.

Siddle had earlier said that the spinner would take the entire team out for dinner after bagging INR 9 crores in the IPL auction.

“I’m delighted the Sunrisers have taken me again in the IPL auction,” Rashid wrote in his write-up for the PlayersVoice.

“It’s a good team, with good people. People are talking about the $1.7 million I’ll earn, and it is a bit overwhelming to think of that. I didn’t expect to be sold for that sort of money. I can’t quite believe it.”

“I saw Peter Siddle said in a story that I’d be ‘shouting’ the team to dinner this week since I’d be earning all that money. Very funny, Sids! But that’s what it’s like in this team – we all get on very well. I took the team to a restaurant in Melbourne when we were there, so maybe that will make up for it – for now at least!” he said.
