Shoaib Akhtar Compares Virat Kohli's Chasing Ability to a Cheetah

Former Pakistani fast bowler and renowned commentator, Shoaib Akhtar, in his latest tweet, compared India’s run machine Virat Kohli’s chasing abilities to that of a cheetah.

The modern master of world cricket gathered praises from prominent cricketing personalities in the aftermath of his knock last night against South Africa.

With India looking to chase down a competitive total set by the host, Kohli responded to the situation yet again by smashing his 33rd ODI ton and 54th overall in international cricket. India raced paced the required total within 46 overs and six wickets in hands, thanks to the mammoth partnership between him and Ajinkya Rahane.

With his reputation for chasing down totals well established by now, Kohli is now looking to chase down Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 100 international tons. He overtook Sachin’s tally of 18 ODI tons in chases for India already, as he already has 20th tons to his name, with a whopping 17 in winning causes. Also, he equalled Sourav Ganguly‘s tally of 11 international centuries as captain of India.

Kohli added another feather to the cap with his ton last night. With his inning of 112 off 119 balls, with ten boundaries to his name, VK now has a century in all nine nations he has visited in his career. The satisfaction he obtained from scoring a ton in South Africa was evident looking at his celebration after the 100th run he scored.

Virat has fans all over the globe by now. Cricket pundits from all over the world were in awe of his trademark century which ended South Africa‘s winning streak of 17 games in a row at home.

Shoaib Akhtar, one of the many admirers of VK, took to Twitter to compare his abilities in a chase with that of a cheetah.

“Another super run-chase by @imVkohli. When it comes to chases, it’s either him or a Cheetah. Well done!! Hope youngsters pick this trait of @imVkohli,” tweeted Akhtar.
