Suresh Raina Thanks Everyone for the Love and Support After Winning the T20I Series

After winning the ODI series by a 5-1 margin, where Suresh Raina made an impact, the Men in Blue continued their dominant run in the rainbow nation and went onto seal the T20I series yesterday. India won the final and the decisive T20I encounter by 7 runs to win their 2nd ever series on South African soil. It has been a thoroughly dominating performance from the visitors, especially in the limited-overs leg. Cricketing pundits have called the current Indian team as the best which has travelled to South Africa.

The ODI series victory was largely built around some sensational batting by skipper Virat Kohli. The two wrist spinners Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav was simply exceptional and bagged 33 wickets between them. India coasted home on all five occasions, and the hosts hardly gave them a fight barring the 4th ODI in Johannesburg.

Following their ODI series victory, there was no doubt about the fact that the visitors will start off as the favorites. From the very first match, it was evident that India was in no mood to rest home the advantage. Meanwhile, veteran Indian batsman, Suresh Raina made a return to the national team albeit in the shortest format.

Raina was promoted up the order by Kohli

He was promoted up the order from the very first match, and he started looking in good touch. As the series progressed, Raina grew from strength to strength and started building on his starts. While Junior Dala dismissed him in the opening encounter for 15, he went on to score 30 and 43 in the next couple of clashes.

The southpaw was awarded the Player of the Match for his wonderful effort in the decider. He was pretty happy after India’s victory and thanked everyone for their wishes and support.

“Success comes with a lot of hard work & motivation! And Motivation comes from a big support system. Big thanks to everyone for all the love, wishes, and support,” he wrote.
