England suffered a huge blow ahead of the crucial game against Australia in the T20 tri-series. Their skipper Eoin Morgan has been ruled out of Saturday’s clash due to a groin injury.

In his absence, Jos Buttler will lead the team. Ashes flop James Vince has replaced Morgan in the playing eleven.

England needs to win the game to remain in the hunt for a place in the final of the tournament. The European visitors had lost their opener against Australia earlier. Although Morgan was not in the best of form, England would have loved their skipper’s availability for the clash. Morgan had scored only 99 runs in the five-match ODI series.

His poor form with the bat continued in the T20Is too, as he could manage only 22 in the opener.

Boost for Australia:

The in-form hosts have received a huge boost for the ongoing series. Their star opener Aaron Finch has returned to the playing eleven for the third match against England.

Finch had scored two centuries in the first two ODIs. A 62-run knock followed it.

However, he missed the last two ODIs and the first two T20Is due to a hamstring injury. It will be interesting to see where Finch bats. In his absence, D’Arcy Short partnered David Warner in Australia’s wins over New Zealand and England.

England XI:

Jason Roy, Alex Hales, Dawid Malan, James Vince, Jos Buttler (c, wk), Sam Billings, Liam Dawson, David Willey, Adil Rashid, Chris Jordan, Tom Curran
