Techie in police custody after trolling Sharad Pawar from Sara Tendulkar's fake account

Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar’s daughter Sara Tendulkar’s name has been once again used on social media for all the wrong reasons. Last year, Tendulkar had urged one and all to not use fake accounts of his children. However, his request seems to have fallen to deaf ears.

Shishode was arrested by the Cyber Police on charges of allegedly creating a fake Twitter account of Sara Tendulkar and making derogatory comments on NCP chief Sharad Pawar.

The police also seized a laptop, two mobile phones and routers from the accused.

The Mumbai resident has been booked for impersonation, cheating and defamation under IPC and the IT Act. Shishode was produced in a local court and remanded in police custody till February 9th.

During interrogation, the accused also revealed that he created fake Twitter handles of a few Bollywood personalities.

Shishode was caught after by the cyber police after Sachin Tendulkar’s personal assistant filed a complaint regarding Sara’s fake Twitter account.

The police then tracked the internet protocol (IP) address from which the comment was posted to Shisode’s residence in Andheri.

The incident had occurred in October last year when the techie had posted a derogatory comment about Sharad Pawar through Sara’s fake Twitter handle.

As a result, NCP legislator Jitendra Awhad was miffed and had sought an explanation from Sachin Tendulkar.

Tendulkar requests:

Following the incident, Tendulkar had himself come out in support of his children. He revealed that neither of his children had Twitter accounts and requested officials to take down fake handles registered by their names.

“I reiterate the fact that my children Arjun & Sara are not on twitter. We request @Twitter to remove all such accounts at the earliest. Impersonation wrecks havoc, creates misunderstanding & traumatises us. I appeal to the platforms to take corrective measures immediately,” Tendulkar had written in a couple of tweets.
