All-rounder Hardik Pandya has gone on a first-ball duck in the ongoing fifth-match against South Africa, of the six-match One-day International series against South Africa. He draws the flak over the microblogging website Twitter in particular.

It has been overall a poor show from the batter so far who recently has been compared with veteran all-rounder Kapil Dev.

The 24-year-old Pandya has a dismal outing so far in the 50-over format in South Africa.

As the middle-order woes continued to expose the strong batting line-up of India, Pandya has subsequently failed to fill in the void.

Pertinently, the Gujarat-based cricketer was dismissed by Lungi Ngidi when healthy edge settled in the gloves of Heinrich Klassen.

Earlier, in the first match at Kingsmead in Durban on February 1, 2018, Pandya remained not out on three.

However, Pandya couldn’t bat in the second ODI at Centurion, before he went on to score 14 at the Newlands in Cape Town.

In the Pink ODI fixture at Wanderers in Johannesburg, Hardik Pandya scored just nine runs.

In four outings, Pandya collected just 26 runs which reflects how dismal the promising prospect has been in the middle.

On the bowling front, in first four ODIs, Pandya just managed a solitary wicket of AB de Villiers.

The veteran batsman de Villiers made his return in the fourth ODI after recovering from a finger injury.

Hardik Pandya was criticized for his approach in the batting.

The right-handed batsman Pandya made his debut against Australia in Adelaide on January 26 in 2016.

Known for his pyrotechnics, Pandya was seen as the next big thing in Indian cricket.

However, with many taking a dig at Pandya has a game left to leave an impact.

Simultaneously many believed he is the one who is to be blamed while questioning his induction in the team.

One of the Twitter users who goes by the name of Sunil- The Gavaskar believes Bhuvneshwar Kumar is more capable than Pandya with the willow.
