Bangladesh cricketers put up a clinical performance once again to register their second victory in the tri-series as they thrash Sri Lanka by 163 runs. Shakib Al Hasan rose to the occasion with both bat and ball as they overcome the Sri Lankan resistance easily.
Bangladesh posted 320 runs on the scoreboard after Mashrafe Mortaza won the toss and elected to bat first. Bangladesh posted an 81-run opening stand before Anamul Haque departed. Useful contribution from the middle order helped Bangladesh cross the 300-run mark.
Swashbuckling opener Tamil Iqbal topped the batting chart with 84 runs followed by Shakib and Mushfiqur Rahman, who registered 67 and 62 runs respectively. Notable contributions from Mahmudullah (24) and Sabbir Rahman (24*) in the death overs proved fruitful for the host.
Sri Lanka bowlers went for plenty; however, experienced Thisra Perera bagged three wickets.
In reply, Sri Lankan batsmen couldn’t get going due to some tight bowling display by Bangladesh. Perera (29) and Dinesh Chandimal (28) got starts but couldn’t convert those into big scores.
Shakib once again bowled some good lines as he claimed three wickets. However, the initial breakthrough was provided by the pace bowlers in the form of Mortaza and Rubel Hossain who bagged two wickets each. Nasir Hossain and Mustafizur Rehman picked apiece each.
Here is how the Twitter reacted after Bangladesh put up a clinical performance:

That leg buy off the second ball of the last over – batsman didn't offer a shot. Umpire and captain Chandimal missed a trick. A captain like Mahela would have noticed it. Damage was 15 more runs. Not to mention horrible bowling by Suranga at the death. #banvssl

The best coach in the world can't get a team to win, if the players don't do their part. Need I say more?
