The three players did not miss the golden opportunity to receive a pep talk from the former Indian skipper and one of the successful players in the history of the game.

India defeated Sri Lana in the series by a margin of 3-0 in the T20I series to hand Sri Lanka a defeat. Sri Lanka though had a chance in the final game, but a low total meant that they could not do so.

In the whole series, the only point where Sri Lanka looked in touch was when they defeated India in the first ODI played in Dharamsala, where the home side was bowled out on a score of 112.

In the first game of the tour, Sri Lanka had a good start when Suranga Lakmal got KL Rahul caught behind the stumps on the first delivery, but team India soon made a comeback and missed an opportunity to win the game when Sri Lanka avoided defeat. Team India had a race against time and the game ended in a draw. India won the second Test while third game was a draw.

India won the ODI series by 2-0, and in the T20I series, the Rohit Sharma led side kept Sri Lanka winless and continued winning streak in three T20Is.

India’ next challenge is against South Africa where Virat Kohli led team will play a total of three Test, six ODIs and three T20Is. The first Test of the series will be played from January 5 to 9.

It will be a tough tour for the side, and if team Inda can defeat South Africa in the Test series, then it will be the first time in the history when such a thing will happen.
