Yusuf Pathan has been added to the Baroda squad for the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy, a report in Indian Express confirms. He was already named to the team that was to play the tournament, but his participation was subject to fitness.

Now, he has been deemed fit to play the tournament, as he has cleared the fitness test and will be playing the List A tournament.

Reports had earlier confirmed he was all set to fly to Bangladesh to play Dhaka Premier League. In fact, he had already confirmed his arrival in Dhaka too, but he got included in the team, which automatically cancelled to plan to play DPL.

Pathan is making a comeback to competitive cricket after serving a ban of five months for consuming a banned substance. However, the all-rounder had done it by mistake and BCCI was also satisfied with his explanation.

He was not included in the Baroda squad for the Super League of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy even after his ban period came to an end, but now he has made a comeback to the side and is all set to play the first match of the season.

The all-rounder would look to do well so, as to be part of Deodhar Trophy too. Post the completion of the domestic season; he will also be joining Surisers Hyderabad to play IPL. The franchise purchased him for an amount of Rs 1.90 Crore. It will be the first time when he will play for this franchise. Earlier, he has represented Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders in previous editions of the tournament.
