On the 6th day of the Vijay Hazare Trophy, 12 matches were played in all, and we have completed all the matches for the day.

All matches happened at the same time, but the match which finished way too early was between Odisha and Assam.

Odisha vs Assam

ASSAM – 136 all-out in 46.1 Overs

ODISHA – 137/1 in 25.4 Overs

Odisha won by nine wickets (with 24.2 balls to spare)

Rajesh Dhuper and Govinda Poddar were the star performers for Odisha, as they scored 70 and 50, respectively to help Odisha overhaul the target with utmost ease. Suryakant Pradhan was the pick of Odisha bowlers bagging two wickets in eight overs by giving away only 14 runs.

Railways vs Haryana

RAILWAYS – 272/7 in 50 overs

HARYANA – 221-all out in 45.1 Overs

Railways won by 51 runs

Mrunal Devdhar was the top scorer for Railways scoring a fluent 67 of 84 deliveries while Arindam Ghosh also chipped in with a useful 55 of just 58 deliveries to propel them to 272 for the loss of seven wickets. Ankit Yadav was the pick of the bowlers for Railways finishing with impressive figures of 4/36 in his ten overs spell.

Punjab vs Karnataka

Punjab won by four runs (Match reduced to 42 overs due to wet outfield)

It was a sensational century from U-19 star Shubman Gill, as he continued his rich vein of form and smashed a sensational unbeaten 123 of just 122 deliveries which was studded eight fours and six sixes. KL Rahul smashed the 2nd century of the match, but it went in vain in the end, as Karnataka narrowly lost by four runs in the rain-curtailed match.

Delhi vs Bengal

DELHI 282/8 in 50 overs

BENGAL 193-all out in 41 overs

Delhi won by 89 runs

For Delhi, Unmukt Chand was the top scorer who got dismissed after scoring a well composed 90. For Bengal Boddupalli Amit bagged four wickets for 52 runs. Subodh Bhati and Kulwant Khejoroliya finished with three wickets each, as Delhi completed an easy victory by 89 runs.

Uttar Pradesh vs Himachal Pradesh

Uttar Pradesh 189 in 42.1 overs

Himachal Pradesh 146-all out in 42.3 overs

Uttar Pradesh won by 43 runs

It was Saurabh Kumar’s breezy knock of 44 off 38 deliveries which helped Uttar Pradesh reach 189 which proved to be decisive in the end. Kartik Tyagi was the pick of UP bowlers bagging three wickets while Saurabh Kumar and Ankit Rajpoot bagged two wickets each, as UP completed an impressive victory in the end by 43 runs.

Tripura vs Kerala

TRIPURA 231/9 in 50.0 Overs

KERALA 234/6 in 45.1 overs

Kerala won by four wickets (with 29 deliveries to spare)

Manisankar Murasingh top-scored for Tripura with a 61 off 54 deliveries with six fours and couple of hits over the fence. However, Mohammad Azharudeen’sknocks of 47 off 35 deliveries proved to be the killer blow Tripura, as Kerala completed a comfortable victory by four wickets.

Andhra Pradesh vs Tamil Nadu

ANDHRA 276/6 in 50 overs

TN 247-all out in 48.5 overs

Andhra won by 29 runs

Srikar Bharat was the top scorer for Andhra 82 off 85 deliveries, and in the bowling department, it was a team effort, as four bowlers finished with a couple of wickets each. Jagadeesh Koushik was the top-scorer for Tamil Nadu with a breezy 56 off 53 deliveries.

Goa vs Madhya Pradesh

Madhya Pradesh won by eight wickets (with 24.2 overs to spare)

Rajat Patidar smashed a brilliant century and remained unbeaten on 124 off 85 deliveries. His innings was studded with 13 fours and seven hits over the fence. Sohraab Dhaliwal was the pick of the Madhya Pradesh bowler bagging three wickets alongside Anshul Tripathi who was a bit more expensive.

Rajasthan vs Gujarat

RAJASTHAN 172 in 47.3 overs

GUJARAT 176/3 In 33.2 Ovs)

Gujarat won by seven wickets

Piyush Chawla was the pick of the bowlers for Gujarat with three wickets to his name while Santosh Shinde and A Nagwaswalla also chipped in with a couple of wickets each. With the bat in hand, Priyank Panchal was the top scorer for Gujarat with a composed 55 Bhargav Merai remained unbeaten on 41 off 45 deliveries, as Gujarat chased the total down with utmost ease.

Chhattisgarh vs Vidarbha

CHHATTISGARH 284/8 in 50 overs

VIDARBHA 239-all out in 46.1 overs

Chhattisgarh won by 45 runs

For Chhattisgarh, it was Amandeep Khare and Vishal Kushwah who propelled Chhattisgarh to a competitive total of 284 runs. Khare scored 65 while the innings which gave impetus to the Chhattisgarh innings was Kushwah who scored a quickfire 61 off 36 deliveries. He was also the pick of the bowlers bagging four crucial wickets for 54 runs.

Services vs Jharkhand

SERVICES 296/6 in 50 overs

JK 297/5 in 49 overs

Jammu and Kashmir won by five wickets

Nakul Harpal Verma scored a brilliant 125 for the Services. However, his innings went in vain, as Jammu and Kashmir completed a relatively easy victory in the end by five wickets and with an over to spare. For Jammu and Kashmir, the openers set a terrific platform and stitched together a stand of 154 runs. Ahmed Bandy scored a breezy 94 off 78 deliveries, an innings containing 14 fours while Shubham Khajuria scored a terrific century.

Jharkhand vs Saurashtra

SAURASHTRA 333/6 (48.2 Ovs)

 Saurashtra won by four wickets (with ten balls to spare)

It was a cliffhanger, as fortune fluctuated from one side to the other. But in the end, it was Saurashtra who prevailed in the end by four wickets. There were quite a few impressive performances from both the sides. For Jharkhand, it was Ishan Kishan who was the top scorer with a brilliant 94 while Sumit Kumar also chipped in with 57 balls 64.

It was out of favour Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja who scored a brilliant century to seal the deal for Saurashtra. Chirag Jani and Aarpit Vasavada made valuable contributions towards the end to help Saurashtra chase the total down with ten balls to spare.
