It might surprise you but Indian captain Virat Kohli and his deputy Rohit Sharma doesn’t follow each other on social media. The reason behind this absurd fact is still unknown but it is speculated that there can be some off the field rift between the two batsmen.

However, there can be also some business related issues between the duo as well. Both of these players were managed by a mutual company, Cornerstone. Meanwhile, Rohit went the other way as he was roped in by IMG-Reliance in 2016.

Is there any off-the-field rift between Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli?

Virat Kohli has 24.8 million followers on Twitter while he is following just 52 people. Among 52, Rohit is not listed.

Similarly, the Indian skipper has 20.8 million followers on Instagram and he is following 83 people. Interestingly, Virat Kohli is not following Rohit Sharma on any social media platforms.

Simultaneously, Rohit has as many half-of-the-followers, as compared to his skipper Kohli. The Indian vice-captain is followed by 11.7 million people on Twitter and he is following 49 people.

In addition, Rohit has 5.7 followers on Instagram while he is following 75 people. Interestingly, Rohit is also not following Kohli owing to the virtual world.

Now, this cannot be a mere coincidence that these two talismanic Indian batsmen are not following each other. It is also seen that both of them are following other big names in the sports world as well as their own teammates. This makes us believe that there is something fishy between the two off the field.

It is noted that both Virat Kohli and Rohit share a great alliance on the field. Both of these linchpins have been instrumental in taking Indian cricket to new heights.

Meanwhile, both of these players are currently leading their respective franchises in the 11th season of the Indian Premier League.

Furthermore, both of them will lock horns tomorrow in the 31st match of the tournament.
