The visiting Indian side has been quite a phenomenal form in the limited-overs leg of the South African tour. The victory in the final Test in Johannesburg gave them the much-needed morale booster which has shown in their performance in the ODI’s. After a giving the hosts a 5-1 hounding, the Men in Blue began their T20I campaign in style.

It was a comprehensive 28 runs victory, in the end, handing India a 1-0 lead in the 3 match series. Shikhar Dhawan who was the 2nd highest run-getter in the ODI series smashed math winning knock of 72 of just 39 deliveries. In the process, the southpaw struck 10 fours and 2 monstrous sixes.  It was Rohit Sharma which got the hosts off to a good start. However, after making 21 off 9 deliveries it was debutant Junior Dala who bagged his wicket.
