India fast bowler, Jasprit Bumrah, displayed an exceptional piece of fielding effort during the first T20I against South Africa.

The bowler was fielding at the boundary ropes when a shot from David Miller came towards him.

He seemed to be in readiness to take the catch and in fact, had made a great judgement of the ball.

He even caught it and threw it back, well in time to save the six.

However, he made a small howler.

Before the ball came towards him, he had touched the boundary rope and the moment he touched it, that meant that it was a six.

As per the rules which came into existence from October 1, 2017, a player has to be within the boundary ropes before making his first contact with the ball.

Miller was awarded six runs for the shot.

In a matter of one ball though, he was dismissed.

Hardik Pandya bowled a slower one and Miller handed a catch to Shikhar Dhawan at mid-on.

It left South Africa with a score of 48/3.

At the time of writing, the home side was on a score of 121/3 in 14 overs.

They are 83 runs away from the target with six overs remaining.

Farhaan Behardien and Reeza Hendricks are currently batting, in the quest to chase the total down for their team.

Earlier in the evening, India, after being asked to bat first, posted a total of 203/5 in allotted 20 overs.

Shikhar Dhawan was the top-scorer for the team as he played an innings of 72.

Comeback man, Suresh Raina, could just manage 15 runs off seven balls.

The former captain, MS Dhoni, who was sent ahead of Hardik Pandya scored 26 off 20 before being bowled by Chris Morris.

Manish Pandey scored 29 off 27.

The target seems to be a tough one for South Africa and looking at their present situation, they need late blitz from their two batsmen batting at the moment.
