Watch: Suresh Raina Completes a Sensational Running Catch

Team India has been in sensational form in the rainbow Nation and following their comprehensive ODI series victory, they went into the T20I series as overwhelming favourites. Winning the toss, South Africa skipper JP Duminy opted to bowl. Rohit smashed a couple of monstrous sixes and a couple of fours before falling to debutant Junior Dala. The Mumbai managed to score 21 of 9 deliveries. Comeback man Suresh Raina was promoted up the order and the southpaw began his innings by middling a short of length delivery straight over the boundary ropes.

However, he kept going for the big shots which eventually brought about his downfall as the same bowler Dala sent him back to the pavilion. Despite the two quick wickets India went on making merry and kept smashing boundaries at will. Dhawan played some terrific shots while Kohli began with an exquisite drive.

At the end of the powerplay, India reached a staggering 78 at the loss of two wickets. Team India continued their good work and kept on piling on the runs. Captain Virat Kohli played a few exquisite shots before Tabraiz Shamsi wrapped him in front and the umpire had no hesitation in ruling the decision in favour of the home team.

Dhawan, on the other hand, kept piling on the runs and was joined by Manish Pandey in the crease. Dhawan smashed 72 of 39 deliveries including 10 fours and a couple of sixes before being dismissed by Andile Phehlukwayo.

Manish Pandey failed to hit the big shots on a consistent basis. However, Mahendra Singh Dhoni played some powerful shots to get India close to 200. Hardik Pandya came in and struck a couple of good boundaries to get going. India eventually finished their innings on 203/5 at the end of their allotted 20 overs.

The Amazing Catch

Even in the bowling department, India began pretty well as Bhuvneshwar Kumar dismissed JJ Smuts and JP Duminy in quick succession and it was a sensational catch from comeback man Suresh Raina. Duminy went for a big shot and in the mid on region, Raina completed a great catch.
