Thomas’ appointment is only one of the many changes made by the board. The other objective of the Board is to defend their World T20 title won by the women’s team in 2016.

Rawl Lewis has been promoted to be team manager and Floyd Reifer steps up from his former U15s coaching role. I’m delighted that we’re promoting from within the CWI coaching and management set up,” commented Jimmy Adams, director of WICB.

“Referencing the background to these changes we are focused on improving team performance. Also, broadening and deepening the coaching expertise in the region. We know we’ve got vital games and tournaments this year. Futher, we’re confident that these appointments will strengthen the Windies squads for this year and our future plans,” further added the West Indies all-rounder according to Cricbuzz.
