The addition of two new teams only highlights the popularity of the league which is in its sixth edition having started in 2017. New York reaching the finals in their very first season has certainly proved that. The two teams replaced the Qalandars and the Maratha Arabians respectively who played till the previous season.

The Strikers defeated Deccan earlier in the season. But that defeat came without Andre Russell being a part of the game. Russell has made his presence felt in both the knockout games so far and he might make the difference between both sides. Deccan to win the final.
