Asia Cup 2018: Virat Kohli Congratulates India on Another Convincing Win

India’s full-time captain Virat Kohli congratulated the team on another convincing win against Pakistan. Men in Blue cruised to a comfortable win against their arch-rivals by nine wickets. In fact, this was India’s second win over Pakistan in the ongoing Asia Cup 2018. India was able to win the first match against Pakistan by eight wickets whereas they won the second by nine wickets.

Thus, Men in Blue have continued their domination over the Men in Green. Meanwhile, India was able to restrict Pakistan to a decent total of 237 in their batting innings. Shoaib Malik who had taken Pakistan to an emphatic win over Afghanistan was able to play a crucial knock of 78 runs.

Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan were outstanding.

Malik was able to put together an alliance of 105 runs with his captain Sarfraz Ahmed. However, Pakistan could not apply the finishing touches as they could only score 36 runs in the last six overs. Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah, Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav scalped two wickets each.

On the other hand, it was a cakewalk for the Indian team as their openers Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan put together a gargantuan partnership of 210 runs to take India in close proximity to Pakistan’s target.

Rohit Sharma scored his 19th ODI hundred whereas Dhawan scored his 15 ODI hundred to take India over the line comfortably. Thus, it was a once again a dominating display from the Rohit Sharma’s men as they were able to tick the right boxes.

Virat Kohli took to his Twitter account to congratulate his team. Kohli post read as, “Well done boys. What a joy to watch.Great win for us. Onwards and upwards ??? #INDvPAK #AsiaCup2018”
