Asif Iqbal too had his roots in India. He was born in 1934 in Hyderabad. He played state cricket for Hyderabad before his family went to Pakistan in 1961. The all-rounder led Pakistan in the first two editions of the ODI World Cup in 1975 and 1979. It is factually proven that he is related to former India player Ghulam Ahmed and current tennis star Sania Mirza.
