As per reports in Cricket Pakistan, Sri Lanka Cricket have planned to drop the ODI fixtures against Pakistan in the upcoming series. Sri Lanka will be hosting Pakistan next month for a two-match Test series. A few ODI matches were also lined up initially but now that seems to be scrapped.
Reports in Cricket Pakistan said that Sri Lanka Cricket has decided to drop the ODI matches due to some unforeseen circumstances. The SLC will eventually announce the schedule of the two-match Test series which is set to be part of the next WTC cycle.

SLC To Play Two Test Matches, Scrape ODIs Against Pakistan
A similar situation came up last year as well with Pakistan and Sri Lanka scheduled to play three ODIs and two Tests. The SLC opted out of the ODIs considering that they were not a part of the ICC ODI Super League and hence both teams played just two Tests in Galle.
Sri Lanka are currently playing Afghanistan in a three-match ODI series while Pakistan played against New Zealand last month at home.

Pakistan Unlikely To Host Asia Cup 2023: Reports
Meanwhile, as per reports in Telegraph India, Pakistan are unlikely to host the Asia Cup 2023. Reports suggested that ACC President Jay Shah has recently rejected the hybrid model proposed by the PCB.
The report further said that the Pakistan cricket board will be informed about the development in the next board meeting of the ACC and that all other participating nations have agreed for the tournament to be hosted in Sri Lanka.
Pakistan had initially planned to host four matches in the country and the remaining matches including India’s matches at a neutral venue. However, now Pakistan’s chances to host the Asia Cup 2023 are almost over.
Sri Lanka are the defending champions of the Asia Cup having won the title last year. They defeated Pakistan in the final by 23 runs. Sri Laka scored 170/6 batting first and bowled out Pakistan for 147.
