Former India National Cricket Team batter Robin Uthappa, who played 46 ODIs and 13 T20Is for the Men In Blue, was recently questioned whether he thinks he announced his retirement too early.
On September 14, 2022, Robin Uthappa, who was one of the heroes of India’s 2007 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup-winning campaign, announced his retirement from all forms of international and Indian cricket and obtained a no-objection certificate (NOC) from Kerala to play overseas T20 leagues.

As a cricketer, I consider myself a student of the game – Robin Uthappa
Robin Uthappa further said that he considers himself a student of the game of cricket and he learns a lot from it.
“As a cricketer, I consider myself a student of the game. I enrich myself by playing in a different part of the world. Cricket is a game that will constantly teach you something every day, this is what I feel. This game will teach you more and more.”
Robin Uthappa added that his love and respect for the game of cricket helps him to keep going.
“I have that respect towards the game. I owed it to this game that I loved most in my life. I loved it and still love it more than anything in my life. That’s why I am playing these leagues and am attached to this game,” he said.
