Australian Cricket Team would sense that they have a solid chance of ending the drought of 19 years. The visitors have got a lot of match winners present in the side which can dethrone the opposition. The Pat Cummins side though would be worried after seeing the visuals of the Nagpur pitch which looks more than a rank-turner.

India would be banking on the duo of Ashwin & Jadeja. The inclusion of Ravindra Jadeja means that the management can use him in the middle order as well to negate the threat of Nathan Lyon. It won’t be wrong to say that India holds a slight edge due to their depth.

Simon O’Donnell on Nagpur Pitch

Simon O’Donnell was having an interaction with the SEN Breakfast show and suggested that ICC must intervene in Nagpur Pitch.

“The ICC should step in and do something about it, if they think it’s not right. If they think the pitch is not right, there’ll be an ICC referee at the game and the ICC will be watching this game.” said Simon Donnell.

“But there’s so many when it comes to India, we have all of these discussions, and nothing seems to happen. If they really think there’s a pitch here that doesn’t play to the normal standards of Test cricket and the characteristics of this ground, then the ICC need to do something,” he added.

Fascinating Series on Cards

The build up to this series has been amazing where we can see lot of off-field verbal spats. Both BCCI & CA would be hoping that this don’t affect their team’s preparation and dynamics. It won’t be wrong to say that the Nagpur Test Match would be decisive leading into series.

There’s no doubt India has the upper hand, but we should not forget that how Nathan Lyon & Steve O Keefe (*retired) rattled India in the 1st Test Match of BGT in 2017 at Pune which was a minefield.  Australia fans would be hoping that the team doesn’t give up in crunch moments of the match.
