Former India National Cricket Team off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has come out in support of the out-of-form opening batsman KL Rahul amid the bitter war between the former Indian cricketers – Venkatesh Prasad and Aakash Chopra.

The 30-year-old opening batsman Rahul has been struggling with his form for an extended period of time. Also, he has failed miserably in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023 against Australia National Cricket Team.

Meanwhile, Prasad launched a scathing attack on Rahul and has been raising questions over his place in Team India with his regular Tweets.

The cricketer-turned-commentator Chopra was disappointed to see Prasad openly criticising Rahul and he was engaged in a war of words with the former pacer on Twitter.

Speaking in a recent video shared on his official YouTube channel, Chopra accused Prasad of running an agenda against Rahul. “If there are any agendas, let’s not peddle them,” he stated.

The statement of the cricketer-turned-commentator didn’t go down well with Prasad and the latter posted yet another series of tweets on his official account, stating that he was disappointed to see his opinions being termed as an agenda.

The former off-spinner further added that Rahul is still a top-class player and was hopeful of the opening batsman making an outstanding comeback. The 42-year-old also stated that every player during a phase in his career goes through a rough patch.

“Can we leave @klrahul alone guys ? He hasn’t done any crime. He is still a top player. He will come back strong.we all go thru such patches in international cricket.he is not the first one and last one. so please respect the fact that he is our own player and have faith,” the former off-spinner Harbhajan Singh tweeted.

Talking further about Rahul’s Performance in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023, in the first Test in Nagpur, he managed to score just 20 runs in the only innings India batted. In the second Test in Delhi, the batter once again failed and registered scores of 17 & 1. Head coach Rahul Dravid and captain Rohit Sharma have backed the opening batsman and have kept him in the squad for the remainder of the series despite back-to-back failures.
