Harbhajan Singh, a former Indian spin bowler, believes that senior batsman Virat Kohli would make significant improvements in the next Test series against Australia.

The veteran Indian batsman held tall against the odds by refusing to allow the outside noise to affect him. After 1021 days, Kohli ended his century-long dry spell at the Asia Cup 2022 in September of last year.

Harbhajan Singh commented on his YouTube channel about Kohli’s talent and approach against Australia in the four-match Test series:

“I Believe This Is The Series In Which Virat Kohli’s Bat Will Speak Loudly. We know he won’t stop once he gets rolling. If India wants to do well in this series, the run-machine must take the lead and score large runs”

“Simply forget what has happened in the past. Whatever flaw existed in the technique has now been eliminated. Everything is fine (and) Virat Kohli has returned to form” Harbhajan Singh Added.

In the red-ball format, Kohli has not yet developed his rhythm. The former Indian skipper was only able to score 265 runs in 11 innings, averaging 26.50 runs per inning, in 2022.

Kohli only managed 45 runs from four innings with a best score of 24, during India’s trip to Bangladesh in December of last year.

“Virat Kohli is the type of player who deserves more credit than he receives”: Harbhajan Singh

Harbhajan stated that people were analyzing Kohli’s form based on the amount of three-figure scores he would achieve.

“Virat Kohli is the type of player who deserves more credit than he receives. He’s scored so many runs (through the years) that when he walks up to bat, we anticipate him to hit at least 100. Based on this, we evaluate his form.”

Before going through a slump from November 2019 to September 2022, Kohli scored 70 international centuries, and his consistency seemed to have created the myth that he will surpass Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 100 international centuries.

On February 9, at the Vidarbha Cricket Association in Nagpur, India will play Australia in the first Test in a three-match series.
