Australia would be hoping that Mitchell Starc & Josh Hazlewood are available for selection who have been nursing injuries. The All-India Senior Selection Committee along with the team management has released the left-arm speedster Jaydev Unadkat from the squad. The pacer would take a part in the Ranji Trophy 2022-23 final match for his team Saurashtra against Bengal on 16th February at Kolkata. This decision may be a sign that the management wants him to get some match practice before the last 2 Test matches against Australia.

The 2nd Test match is scheduled on 17th February in Delhi where we can expect a similar wicket. The hosts would be hoping that the T20 star batter Suryakumar Yadav scores some runs.
