Kuldeep Yadav has been playing well in all forms lately, and his dependable performances have earned him a spot in India’s side for the first two Test matches against Australia.

In the first Test match against Bangladesh in December, Kuldeep Yadav won Player of the Match. Kuldeep Yadav would go on to play in the limited-overs matches against Sri Lanka and New Zealand in the run-up to the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

When the two teams square off in the opening encounter of the four-game Test series for the Border Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) at the Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA) Stadium in Nagpur starting today, Team India will try to maintain their dominance over Australia (February 9). Since 2015, when Australia last played India in a series, India has held the BGT. In their most recent five Test matches, Rohit Sharma’s team has only lost one.
